Why use Stage Designer?

All-in-one workspace

Canvas with grid and ruler, layers, undo/redo, meter tool, and drag-and-drop IPSC targets — paper, steel, movers, and scenery.

IPSC compliance

Built-in WSB checklist, automatic shot counts, No-Shoot coverage checks, and Short/Medium/Long classification before match day.

Professional deliverables

Generate briefings, stage or full-match PDFs, materials lists for logistics, and view-only links for ROs and squads.

Real productivity

Templates, duplicate stage or match, link to Athlete Training, and auto-save. Less time in PowerPoint, more time on the range.

Real-world scale

Set the bay in metres (width × depth) and everything follows: targets, props, grid and the measuring tool stay proportional to the actual range.

3D and shooter view

See the stage in perspective, walk the range and look from the start area at eye level — before you build it. Export the view as PNG or attach it to the stage PDF.

Orbit

  • Registration, division and squad picked by the athlete
  • Scoring in the field from the phone, signed and audited
  • Match hub, schedule and public results on publish

Quick guide

First steps after sign-in:

  1. Select or create a Match at the top of the screen.
  2. Use + New Stage and drag targets from the sidebar onto the canvas.
  3. Set the bay size in metres (Stage: width × depth) — targets, props and grid resize with it.
  4. Fill in name, procedure, start position, and minimum rounds (WSB) in the right panel.
  5. Draw fault lines, walls, and polygons with sidebar tools or shortcuts (F, A, P).
  6. Click Validate to check shots, No-Shoots, and start area.
  7. Use Materials for the props list; Briefing for RO-ready text.
  8. Export PDF (stage or full match) or Share to get a read-only link.
  9. Open 3D to check the stage in perspective and from the shooter's view; export it as PNG or tick the box to include it in PDFs.
  10. Save as template to reuse layouts in future matches on your account.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about the online IPSC Stage Designer.

Can I design the stage to real-world scale?

Yes. Set the bay width and depth in metres and the drawing works to scale: targets, props, grid and the measuring tool stay proportional to the range, and briefing distances match reality.

Is there a 3D view?

Yes. The 3D button shows the stage in perspective, with isometric, overhead and eye-level shooter presets from the start area — useful to spot hidden targets and shooting angles before building. The view can be exported as PNG or attached to the stage PDF.

What is IPSC Stage Designer?

It is the Scoring Services web app to design IPSC stages in your browser, with canvas, WSB checklist, validation, PDF, materials list and share link for ROs.
